The Sentara RMH Medical Center board of directors has approved the purchase of the land and the capital needed for construction of an outpatient health center in Bridgewater. Closing on the property, located at the corner of Dinkle Avenue and Don Litten Parkway, will take place July 1.

The new 9,000-square-foot health center will provide family medicine, laboratory, X-ray and rehabilitation services. It is slated to open in the second half of 2016. Sentara RMH is currently in discussions with a local primary care practice about their interest in leasing space in the new facility.

The center is being constructed to expand access to primary care, diagnostic and rehabilitation services in the area.

Further details will be released as they become available.
