Sentara Leigh Hospital recognized for top orthopedic program
Sentara Leigh Hospital was recently named by Becker's Hospital Review as one of its “100 hospitals with great orthopedic programs” for 2016.
The list highlights nationally leading programs in orthopedic care and the organizations included have received recognition for excellence from various publications, industry-leading organizations and accrediting organizations.
To develop this list, the publication’s editorial team examined several rankings and awards available for excellence in orthopedic care, including U.S. News & World Report rankings for orthopedics and ratings for hip and knee replacement, CareChex rankings for orthopedic care and orthopedic surgery, Blue Distinction Centers for hip and knee replacement, Joint Commission certification and Magnet accreditation.
“It is an honor to have the Sentara OrthoJoint Center® program at Sentara Leigh Hospital included in this elite list,” said Carole Guinane, vice president, Sentara Orthopedic Services. “This recognition, in addition to our recent Magnet and Blue Distinction certifications, is further evidence of our commitment to improving the experience and ultimately outcomes, for our orthopedic patients.”
