Outpatient Nutrition Counseling
The foods we eat play a major role in disease management and have a large impact on overall health and well-being. The team of highly qualified clinical dietitians at Sentara RMH Medical Center provides medical nutrition therapy to patients identified as high nutrition risk using admission screening criteria. Nutrition education is provided to patients and family members to ensure understanding and compliance with the diet prescription provided by the physician.

Registered dietitians have a degree from an accredited university, have completed an accredited practice or graduate studies program, have passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and have ongoing professional education to maintain registration.
