Fresh Citrus and Ginger Coleslaw


  • ¼ teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • ½ teaspoon grated peeled gingerroot
  • 1½ cups packaged shredded cabbage and carrot coleslaw mix
  • 2 tablespoons fined diced red onion


  1. In medium bowl, whisk together the orange zest, orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, oil and gingerroot.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and onion. Toss thoroughly. Let stand at least 5 minutes before eating.
