The Sentara Rehabilitation and Care Residence is designed to feel more like home. We are proud to be one of a select few senior communities in Virginia to feature the innovative “household” model of care. Our specially designed community promotes the development of vibrant, family-like relationships as well as independence for our residents. Each resident’s day starts on his or her own schedule, which means that if someone enjoys sleeping in, staff will not interrupt. Hot meals are readily available 24/7, and residents can help prepare their own meals, if desired in a beautiful country kitchen. The unique, intimate living environments (“households”) will feature all private bedrooms, landscaped courtyards, living rooms with fireplaces, low noise practices, and private spaces for residents and families to enjoy. Each household accommodates up to 20 residents.
