- Sentara Princess Anne Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has consistently earned the prestigious Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), again receiving the Gold Beacon Award® in 2024. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was also awarded the Silver Beacon Award® in 2024. The Beacon Award honors nursing units that stand out for their commitment to delivering patient care that goes above and beyond.
