Through fast and expert intervention, we work to save brain cells that can make the difference in your future quality of life. We first evaluate you to determine the stroke's source and the extent of your brain damage. This information, gathered through our world-class technology and expert physician teams, guides our treatment. You and your families can anticipate us using one or more of the following diagnostic tools:
- Neurological assessment: Our assessment will include a BE FAST (changes to balance, eyes, face and speech and the time last observed with regular abilities) evaluation.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score determination: This national standard helps us determine the severity of your stroke.
- CT scan: This exam uses a special X-ray tube to produce a series of computerized images of your body.
- CT angiography: This test can show blood vessels that are narrowed or blocked in your body.
- MRI: This technology uses magnetic fields to create an image of your brain.
