    Dr. Brooks earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, in 1996 after completing his B.S. in Biology at San Diego State University in San Diego, CA, in 1990. He completed his internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, in 2002. He received additional training in Advanced Laparoscopy Procedures at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, in 2005. Dr. Brooks specializes in general breast, antireflux, hernia, colon,and biliary surgery, specializingin robotic and minimally invasive approaches. He strives to find the correct balance of methods and procedures that provide his patients with a healthy and improved quality of life and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
