Krauss appointed chairman of VHA Inc. Central Atlantic Board
Jim Krauss, president, Sentara RMH Medical Center, has been appointed chairman of the VHA Inc. Central Atlantic board of directors.
VHA Inc. is a national network of not-for-profit health care organizations working together to improve performance and efficiency in clinical, financial and operational management. Serving 5,000 health system members and affiliates, VHA represents more than a quarter of the nation's hospitals. VHA is based in Irving, Texas, and has 12 regional offices across the United States.
Krauss has been a VHA board member since 2007. He joined RMH as senior vice president and chief operating officer in 2000 and was appointed president and chief executive officer in 2008. He has more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare.
