Financing Your Surgery

Many insurance programs will cover the cost of weight loss surgery. However, it is your responsibility to confirm this with your insurance company prior to making the appointment. Please keep in mind that some insurance carriers may have specific exclusion criteria or requirements that must be met before weight loss surgery is covered. Payment arrangements can be made for patients with no insurance or whose insurance does not cover these procedures. You may pay for the surgery yourself if insurance coverage is not provided.

Insurance Pre-Approval and Authorization

Expert help is available for insurance pre-approval. We participate with many managed care insurance companies and most major commercial insurance plans, and are a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery*, an Aetna Institute of Quality Bariatric Surgery Facility, and a CIGNA 3 Star Quality Bariatric Center.

Request for insurance authorization for coverage of your surgery will be submitted after the initial evaluation to determine whether you are a surgical candidate. The date of surgery will be determined when you have completed all pre-surgical evaluations.
