Nicole Dockery oversees the management of Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, a full-service facility located in South Boston, Va.

Prior experience

Nicole began her nursing career at Halifax as an intensive care unit (ICU) nurse in 2009, and in 2012, she began to focus on healthcare leadership. She served as the Director of Patient Care Services before being appointed as VP, Chief Nursing Officer, in 2021.

Nicole is originally from the Danville/Pittsylvania County community. Her experience, her calm, steady demeanor, and local roots have prepared her for this new role. She is a trusted and stable force in the Halifax community who will confidently guide Halifax into the next chapter.
