Sentara Medical Group provides an option for primary and specialty care providers who are interested in an alternative to private or independent practice. If you have student loans, the Sentara Student Loan Repayment Benefit is here to help pay down that debt with a monthly employer contribution while you continue paying on your loans. Sentara will pay $400 per month up to a lifetime maximum of $10,000 if you are a full-time or part -time employee. You are eligible for this benefit upon hire.
Sentara is committed to providing you with a secure source of future income through the Sentara 401(A) Plan. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved and create the kind of retirement you have always wanted with your own savings and, if eligible, the 403(B)/401(K) employer match.
To support the well-being of you and your family, Sentara provides four (4) weeks of paid parental leave of full base pay. This benefit will provide time away from work to be able to bond with a new child through birth, adoption or foster care placement.
Sentara cares about the well-being of our team members and recognizes that there are a variety of reasons we may need time away from work to care for our family members. To assist and support the balance of work and family needs, Sentara offers our team members two (2) weeks of job-protected leave to care for a family member experiencing a serious health condition and who is not covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Sentara has partnered with an emergency back-up care company to help in times of need. We are providing this benefit to create peace of mind by taking the stress out of finding alternate care when regular daycare, sitters, elder care or pet sitting plans fall through. This program will provide access to high-quality back-up care, at a flat rate for in-home or center care, up to ten (10) instances per employee per calendar year.
Adding to your family is a major milestone, and we’re proud to be part of it. Adoption benefits include assistance for domestic, international and foster care.
