Grief support group

Hospice of the Piedmont’s Grief and Healing Services offers a free monthly grief support group at the Sentara Martha Jefferson Caregiver and Wellness Center located inside Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. This supportive space is open to individuals who are currently caring for a loved one, as well as those who have experienced a loss, and provides comfort, connection, and guidance throughout the grief journey.

What to expect: Led by Hospice of the Piedmont’s Grief and Healing Services team, this compassionate group offers a safe, welcoming space to share your experiences, connect with others who understand, and receive guidance at your own pace.

The center is located at 500 Martha Jefferson Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Please enter through the main hospital doors or through the Cancer Center entrance. The center is located behind the hospital gift shop. You will need your ID card.
