About Me
Dr. Shannon Clark is a board-certified neurosurgeon who performs the full spectrum of brain and spine surgeries. She is the only female neurosurgeon in the Hampton Roads region and one of only two functional neurosurgeons serving the area. Since joining Sentara, Dr. Clark has focused on restoring neurological function and improving quality of life for patients with complex neurological disorders. Her clinical practice includes deep brain stimulation (DBS), MRI guided focused ultrasound (FUS), neuromodulation for chronic pain and advanced epilepsy surgery. She also performs spinal decompression and fusion procedures and treats brain tumors, while maintaining a strong commitment to conservative, patient centered care.
