The patient navigator is available to answer your questions. To prepare for your upcoming surgery, please visit our education page to download your Patient and Family Guidebook, watch the preoperative (pre-op) education video or find a class to attend.
Our pre-op education will set you up for success before and after surgery. You will learn:
- How to prepare for your upcoming procedure
- Prepare your home for your recovery
- Exercises to do before and after surgery
- And more
Medical Clearance Exam
A medical clearance exam is required before your spine surgery. Please check with your surgeon’s office to determine if it can be completed there or if you will need to schedule an appointment with your primary care provider.
Arriving for your surgery
Use the Kaufman entrance. Complimentary valet parking is available. Once inside, let the front desk know you are having spine surgery. They will direct you to the Surgical Preparation and Recovery (SPAR) unit, located on the 2nd floor of the Norfolk Zone. This is where patients will check-in and complete pre-op. The family waiting room is in the same unit on the 2nd floor.
