Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center offers PET-CT services to Prince William County residents
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is introducing one more tool to help the community in its fight to identify, stage, and end cancer more quickly by expanding its oncology-related services and launching a mobile PET/CT program.
The expansion of these services helps meet a need for our oncology population. By offering advanced imaging within Prince William County it keeps services closer to home for patients, eliminating the need to battle oftentimes hectic Northern Virginia traffic.
"This is an exciting endeavor that will truly help our community," explains Heather Causseaux, Director, Oncology Service Line, "By offering these services, we’re streamlining the care process. This ultimately helps deliver a better experience for our patients, providers, and community."
The mobile PET/CT unit offers convenient Saturday hours. It’s available at the Century building location on the campus of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.
In June 2019, Sentara introduced the Sentara Cancer Network Resource Center for Oncology patients, families, and survivors at the Century Building. The central location provides access to existing services located in the Century Building, such as Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncologist, Hematologist/Oncologist, Physical Therapy, and other specialists, making it a destination cancer center in Woodbridge, VA.
