Billing and Insurance

As a courtesy, the surgery center billing staff will file your claim with your insurance carrier. Your surgeon and anesthesiologist will also file a claim.

We are able to address questions about the facility bill, but it is best to phone your surgeon directly if you are unclear about the surgeon’s bill. If you require radiology and/or pathology services, they will also file a claim with your insurance carrier.

Co-pays and deductibles will be collected the day of surgery when you check in at the registration desk. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Master Card and Visa.

If you do not have health insurance, payment will need to be worked out prior to your surgery. Please phone 757-983-2000757-983-2000 and our patient account representative will be able to help you with a payment plan.

If your surgery is a result of a work-related injury, worker compensation insurance requires the following specific information:

  • Worker compensation carrier
  • Agent or person at your employer to contact regarding worker compensation benefits
  • Employer’s address
  • Date and time of your injury
  • Claim number
