Sentara Healthcare recognizes its responsibility to “Improve Health Everyday” by providing its fair share of uncompensated care to adult residents who are low-income, uninsured or underinsured through Medicare, Medicaid.
The Sentara Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC) offers continuity of care through Primary care to the residents of Norfolk, and Specialty and diagnostic care to the citizens of the Tidewater region.
Individuals accessing medical services through Sentara Hospitals’ discharges, and emergency facility will be advised their option for follow up care in order to provide appropriate continuity of care and to maintain proper physician, hospital, and patient relations. For Residents to establish care at the ACC they must provide their proof of income to meet the financial eligibility requirements.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 12 noon
The Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC) is located off-site from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The ACC offers lab services, X-rays, and EKG’s are also available for diagnostic work-up. A Medication Assistance Program is available to help patients get prescription medications free or at a reduced cost. External referrals for specialty care are also made to other Sentara providers in the community.
